The question of which is best, a website or a blog has a different answer today than it might have a few years ago. As the saying goes “the more things change the more they stay the same”. This holds true when discussing the differences between websites and blogs.

The solution here relies solely in the hands of the search engines. It’s up to them to discount all these types of Learn something new everyday as well as their links. Unfortunately, the many search engines still seem to eat this stuff up as legitimate.

Once you have picked a product, and have a website or blog, you need to find people to sell it to. This means getting your website or blog out in the marketplace where people can find it.

And so I grrrrrrrrrr to myself, tear out my hair, and continue to blog. Yes I duplicate stuff that is on my business site, and articles I submit for submission, and I ad links to my own writing especially when it is published professionally.

The person who owns the other blog, unless they don’t know what they are doing either, is not going to approve your comment. And even if they do, what is the quality of that link? What is the value of the traffic it sends to your blog, if any?

Plan the “cruddy” links. Getting a bunch of online blogs cruddy links is an art. I find that three-way link exchanges, releasing wordpress themes, and using Unique Article Wizard are great ways of building tons of low-quality links. Find no more than 3-4 tactics and stick with them.

First of all, the search engines love blogs. Google knows people love blogs because they’re constantly updated with fresh new content. So they give them great rankings in the search engines. That means you get tons of visitors to your blog without having to pay for advertising.

Take as much care writing a pitch for a blogger as you do for a national magazine, TV show, or other outlet. Many bloggers don’t respond because they get blase pitches that treat them like the sewer rat of media. Not cool.
